Ultimate Gymnastics Takes Part in Torch Relay Celebrations
Nothing, not even a brisk, frost-filled morning could hinder the excitement of several Ultimate Gymnastics athletes as they prepared to be part of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay celebrations at City Hall today.
Chilled revelers, who gathered bright and early to welcome the torch as it was to arrive in the hands of Thunder Bay native and former Canadian Olympic Cyclist Curt Harnett, quickly warmed up as they were treated to a fantastic gymnastics display by Ultimate competitive athletes. The sixteen-minute gymnastics performance entertained onlookers, coming to an end just in time for the torch to make its way onto the grounds of City Hall.
As the days event progressed, Ultimate Gymnastics athletes were asked to wow the highly appreciative crowd with an encore performance of gymnastics skills.
A highlight of the day was the chance for the young athletes to meet London 2012 Canadian Olympic Rhythmic Gymnast Rosie Cossar, who graciously took time to say hello and pose for a photo with Ultimate Gymnastics.
“We are extremely honored to have been part of this very important, once-in-alifetime celebration” said Ultimate Gymnastics co-owner Greg Balec.
